Thanks to Royce for helping name the image, his suggestion had the most thumbs up. (1)
Now post links about VisualParadox.com all over the internet, or I shall blot out the sun.

  Where Glow Rods Grow

Under the setting star, where the glow rods grow, the ocean stretches far and we dream of long ago.

  Alien Planet

Strange plant life grows in an alien landscape. I use color here to give the feeling of not belonging.

  rings

I like the symmetrical designs, I try to resist, but the simplistic composition draws me back.

Bryce 5 has meta-balls that can create amorphic shapes like these bubbles.  (Dolphins do blow bubble rings.)

  Kinetics

I drew the bump map (planet surface) in Photoshop, and spent too much time trying to get it just right, because only 10% shows up in the final image.

  Purple Haze

This may look like the planet in Ring station, but this one is actually using a moon texture, and realistic rings.

  Ring Station

The original plan was a large planet, with a couple big satellites. Apparently the inhabitants evolved faster than I could draw them.
