I drew the bump map (planet surface) in Photoshop, and spent too much time trying to get it just right, because only 10% shows up in the final image.

When I started this rendering it was almost warm outside. As I worked, the weather grew colder and started to snow. I'm sure that was just a coincidence.

Finished, scrapped, and restarted 3 times, I think I'm getting too critical. My concept was shady, yet well lit. Of course, a paradox.

The memory of a beautiful scene tends to exaggerate the key points, trees are taller, valleys are deeper, vistas are wider, and the moon is bigger. I used a telescopic photo of the moon to get more detail.

What if Earth was only a moon, the second moon, of some large planet?

Not much actual 3D in this one, but it's still one of my favorites. Amorphium was used to make the asteroids.
