Creating this many pillars individually would have been impossibly complex. I instead made a solid block, with a grid of negative cylinders inside, carving out the archways.

  Vented Cave

I had put this one aside not expecting I would get anything decent out of it. Forgetting about it, I loaded it to see what it was and after extensive lighting experiments I found one of my favorite images.

This came about after seeing my previous Dolphin from a camera angle above the water. It gave me this idea, which came out quite nice. (It is the same water, with a new sky, and without the light gel.)
