  Crater Lake

The results of my first experiments with a new 3d terrain program I just discovered. The moon was added in Photoshop.

  Ant Colony

This turned out to be much more difficult than I thought. I wanted it to be a view from inside an ant hill, looking down several tunnels at once. But since you can only point the camera one direction at a time I had to opt for a more cavernous approach.

  Fairy Pet

Tiny fairies, no wonder they are so hard to find in the real world. I tried using a photo of an actual field in the background, although it's such a small area it's almost a texture map.

  Garden Path

I was planning on a set of fairy images, but I had so much trouble getting the wings similar to what I wanted, I may not do as many as I had originally planned.
The flower is a slightly modified model from Ray Dream Studio.

  Jellystones

This was originally supposed to be raw precious stones, but everyone seems to think they look like ice or jelly. Don't judge by the thumbnail, they do look cool on a desktop.

My galleries need a bit more drama.

  Mountain Snow

I really like how this one turned out. It's become one of my favorites.
I used to include something unrealistic in all the realistic scenes, something to find if you studied the image. This one is in the needles of the pine trees.

  Quiescence

A long forgotten magical place, or is it what happens when no one is around to see water play? Based on my experiments with drawing water ripples with the terrain editor in Bryce.
