Under the setting star, where the glow rods grow, the ocean stretches far and we dream of long ago.
Strange plant life grows in an alien landscape. I use color here to give the feeling of not belonging.
I like the symmetrical designs, I try to resist, but the simplistic composition draws me back.
Bryce 5 has meta-balls that can create amorphic shapes like these bubbles. (Dolphins do blow bubble rings.)
Rings of force represent the sound of the thunder resonating from the superheated air around the lightning.
I drew the bump map (planet surface) in Photoshop, and spent too much time trying to get it just right, because only 10% shows up in the final image.
This may look like the planet in Ring station, but this one is actually using a moon texture, and realistic rings.
The original plan was a large planet, with a couple big satellites. Apparently the inhabitants evolved faster than I could draw them.
