If you back out far enough to see some of the shape the atoms are forming, you are too far away to see them. So I made them reflect a common tree. And like looking at shapes in the clouds, it's easy to see things in the tree as well.
Two partial images sit for a long time, each needing a contrasting element to complete them. Turns out they can be complete, if they cooperate.
I had some interest in licensing an image like this, but can't get the person's email off a dead computer until I get a replacement part. Hopefully they see this.

Creating this many pillars individually would have been impossibly complex. I instead made a solid block, with a grid of negative cylinders inside, carving out the archways.
